Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kronokash website, application, and services (the "Service") operated by Kronokash ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Registration

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Service Description

Kronokash is a personal financial management tool that converts monetary values into time equivalents ("life days"). The Service provides budgeting, income tracking, debt management, savings goals, tax estimates, and related financial insights.

Not Financial Advice: Kronokash provides informational tools and calculations only. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or tax professional. Our tax estimates, projections, and insights are approximations and should not be relied upon as professional financial, tax, or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional for your specific situation.

4. Subscription and Billing

Free Trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start.

Paid Plans: After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription (Pro, Business, or Enterprise). Pricing is listed at kronokash.com/#pricing and may change with 30 days notice.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings. Access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Promotional Pricing: Waitlist members and promotional offers may receive discounted rates. These rates remain locked in as long as your subscription stays active and in good standing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Create multiple accounts to abuse trial periods or promotional offers
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or harmful content

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into the Service. We process your data solely to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export your data at any time via CSV export in Settings, and delete your account and all associated data at any time.

7. Bank Connections

If you connect bank accounts via Plaid, you authorize us to retrieve transaction and account data on your behalf. You acknowledge that bank data accuracy depends on your financial institution and Plaid. We are not responsible for errors, delays, or omissions in bank-synced data.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content (excluding your user data), is owned by Kronokash and protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes in accordance with your subscription plan.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for financial decisions made based on the Service's calculations, estimates, or projections

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kronokash and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
